Taylor Swift’s Concert Cancelled

Taylor Swift’s Eras Concert For Three Days In Vienna Is Cancelled

The cancellation of Taylor Swift’s three shows in the European city from Thursday to Saturday was a blow to the fans. The concert was supposed to happen in Vienna, Austria. Organizers have cancelled it after authorities arrested two suspects for allegedly planning a terror attack on the days of Swift’s blockbuster Eras tour.

Barracuda Music, the promoter for Swift’s concerts in Austria, sadly dropped the European leg of her hit Eras tour for everyone’s safety. Government officials confirmed the plan for the terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium.

Swift, on her official website, listed the concerts as repealed.

Police said at a press conference in the capital that a 19-year-old Austrian citizen was arrested on Wednesday in Ternitz, lower Austria. They identify the convict as an ally of the Islamic State. Later, another arrest had taken place in Vienna.

They had been indoctrinated through the internet, resulting in the 19-year-old pledging his commitment to the head of ISIS in July and initiating a solid preparatory measure for a terrorist attack.

Surrounding houses led to 60 households being evacuated for the search. Police discovered chemical substances potentially linked to bomb-making at the home of the 19-year-old, which were being secured and evaluated.

General Director for Public Security Franz Ruf said that the terrorists often mask their conversations from standard counter-terror surveillance. The discourse of the perpetrators is commonly undertaken in encrypted form.

Barracuda Music said that within the next 10 business days, all tickets for the canceled shows will be automatically refunded.

Swift’s Eras tour since the first announcement has been extended several times. The concerts started in Glendale, Arizona, on March 18, 2023, then traveled to the United States, South America, Asia and Australia, and is presently on its European leg.

The cancellation shocked and disappointed fans, including many from other places who had journeyed to Viana for the concert. Thus, the fans were in mixed emotions and were glad that the two terrorists were caught.
